What programming languages do you use?
Most clients don't care how we build our websites, or even understand what differentiates platforms utilized today. But we occasionally get asked this question and we're happy to respond.
Some clients have heard of WordPress for instance. We have created sites using WordPress (which offers open source code), Asp.net or PHP (which are free coding platforms), But our programming language of choice is ColdFusion, which offers critical applications that are vital to most jewelry sites. Jewelry operations are vastly different from e-tailers selling t-shirts, so they are not well-served by pre-packaged open source code (such as WordPress) and cumbersome coding required by ASP and PHP.
ColdFusion can more productively build complex, enterprise applications giving the developer more options to offer their client. Therefore ColdFusion is most frequently used by large, enterprise-class applications in the Government and major corporations like top Fortune 100 corporations. And importantly, ColdFusion allows us to make changes quickly and efficiently when our clients need an upgrade or new interactive functions. It's highly scalable, meaning it's easily expanded to our client's changing requirements.
